Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.LD

Long before Samuel L. Jackson appeared in Marvel Studios' theatrical features, a certain Mr. David Hasselhoff played the eye patched one.  Now I will be honest, anything with 'The Hoff' in I will love.  This is due to my undying devotion to Knight Rider when I was a kid, so even though this TV movie is cheesy and naff, it's still great fun.

Written by David Goyer, before he hit the big time with Nolan's Batman movies, the film has an honest comic book feel about it and Hasselhoff does actually really look like the comic book legend that Fury is.  The plot is silly and some of the supporting actors aren't going to win awards, but as I said it's fun and a good time waster.  It never won awards and a lot of people hate it, but I respect 101 Films for bringing it out as it deserves to be seen.

The fim should take pride of place in your Marvel collection next to those crazy Captain America films from the 1970's.  All we need now is for those killjoys at Sony to release the Nicholas Hammond Spidey TV series.  It's a good job I have a load of them on VHS!!
